B&N’s Nook e-Reader Gets A Second Generation

Android Based B&N Nook Color E-Readerannounced officially
Nook Color is the second generation E-Reader from Barnes and Noble. It is still 7 inches in size but now its monochrome screen uses LCD but it is more expensive- actually, $100 more expensive. Even though the device is still considered as an E-Reader, being Android based gives it additional benefits like web browsing, games, apps as well as music. Third party applications will also be allowed on Nook Color. The screen provides high quality resolution and is laminated to prevent glare. This new Nook Color will start shipping on November 19th but you can already pre-order at Barnes and Noble.
