The world’s first 3D consumer camcorder: JVC GS-TD-1

JVC has just announced the launch of the world’s first 3D consumer camera – the GS-TD-1. Using the camera, anybody can now shoot 3D content that is viewable on any 3D TV. The GS-TD-1 makes use of two camera lenses and two imaging sensors to capture 3D images in the same way that human eyes work. The camera can be used to shoot content in 3D as well as full 1080p HD, side by side (960 x 1080 x 2) for AVCHD 3D recording and 2D AVCHD shooting. With 64GB of built-in flash memory, you’ll probably want to expand it using the provided SDXC card slot. It even has 3D optical 5x zoom, Optical Axis Automatic Stabilization System, and Automatic Parallax Adjustment to ensure you shoot the best 3D content you can. The camera packs a glasses-free 3D display so you can even check your 3D content without having to look for a 3DTV to hook it up to.
